Japan – Kingdom of Characters is an exhibition by the the Japan Foundation Sydney. Through the end of May, life-sized figures of famous Japanese characters and information panels will be on display at the Japan Foundation Gallery in Chifley Plaza. There will also be free anime screenings and lectures every Wednesday night throughout the exhibition.

There is a million dollar lego exhibition at Sydney Aquarium until next year. Being one of the largest lego events in the world, Lego on the Loose is also one of the few events that originates here in Sydney rather than coming here as the final stop.
All these vintage and muscle cars were out on Macquarie St for the NRMA Motorfest 2011 on Australia Day. There must have been about 200 cars there, and people were swarming all over them like ants!
As part of the Sydney Festival, an array of light and sound sculptures are being displayed at the Chinese Garden at Darling Harbour. The light displays are varied, but the sounds are mostly strange and ghost-like. There is also liberal use of smoke, adding to the eerie atmosphere.
