Walk in Aviary

We went to the Walk in Aviary in Canberra a little while ago. It had lots of birds as expected, what was not expected was how crazy they were about the apple pieces you could buy to feed them with. You really had to watch your fingers (and your ears!) to make sure you didn’t get holes in them!

Also when one bird squawks this sets off a chain reaction where every bird in the aviary squawks its head off and it was completely deafening! Sometimes whole groups of them would swoop down to attack us silly tourists leaving humans running away left and right and hiding under the shelters. All in good fun.
